The whole team from Philip and Marcel through to the fitter were extremely professional. The attention to detail was impeccable which is rare to find these days. The fitter was very thorough and focused and has done an amazing job in fitting a new door to my existing timber frame, it was clear he took pride in his work and that is a very honourable trait to have in this day and age. The amount of time he took to ensure exact measurements were taken before tailoring the door at each step was so detailed. I am extremely happy I came across these guys on the website and would definitely recommend them.

After researching fire doors online I went to visit the showroom (to reassure myself as I rarely buy online!). The new doors were needed to comply with our insurance policy. Philip discussed all my options & I put down 50% deposit.

Communication throughout the process was perfect, measuring, adjustments & visits were arranged (re uneven walls & floors). The team was excellent, hard working, tidy & efficient !

In a miscommunication between the family we paid twice.

Shock horror !! Of course Philip recognised our mistake & instantly returned the 2nd payment (+ sent me a screenshot for good measure).

I had been quoted over £1,000 for the repair of our pocket door which had come off its track. That quote was based upon the builder’s analysis of the photos I’d provided, and their conclusion was that the plasterboard wall would likely have to be opened up to get access to the track to carry out the repair.

In the hope of avoiding that I searched online for specialist door fitters and found Marcel and Philip at Door Fitter. They’re experts in pocket doors and from my photos could see what had happened.

It turned out they had provided advice to Portland the manufacturer of our pocket door mechanism on how to improve the design to prevent a common fault! They told me to order a replacement bolt from Portland which they would fit in place of the one that had become unscrewed and dropped out. It took them forty minutes to fit the bolt and put the door back on track. They even managed to fish out the original bolt which had dropped down inside the pocket. All without needing to open up the wall.

Chancing my arm I asked if they would look at a utility room door which had dropped on its hinges and was dragging on the floor. Unlike many contractors they were willing to do so, even though it hadn’t been part of the original job specification, and they solved that problem too.

All done in an hour! Their invoice was £216 inc. VAT, but I paid a +!5% bonus for their expertise and good service, making it £250 in money well spent.

We had Phillip to our home to install bifolding doors and 2 others.

He was extremley professional, knowledgeable and helpful.

His work was first class and we would definetly recommend him to friends and family.
